Just joined the forum to find out a little more about the 4 Wheel scene. I'm based in Tenerife providing Mountain Bike tours currently to the 2 wheel boys and girls, but really fancy trying a 4 wheel machine and maybe getting some routes together to suit these bad boys.

Hi Daz!
Great to see more anglo-canarians on the forum... lol. Do you know any of my TF posse, cos they hang out at the BikePark and are always DH-ing around Las Lajas, Guimar, La Esperanza etc?
3 of us (2 with fourcross bikes) came out there last October and ripped it up for a whole week with Matt, Manu, Juani and the gang. We had a wicked time on the volcano! We have also been helping to advise Zeno on developing 'fourcross friendly' lines through the BikePark, as he aims to get at least one bike for hire on the island. Thumbs Up
I can give you some info about the different trails we've ridden when Ive been there if you like? Theres also some more details on our TRAILZ page or you could try contacting mi amigo Matt (member ID - 1412) to get the 'local knowledge' on the rock...
Maybe we will meet next time Im over with my bike eh?

Thanks for the Welcome guys, I've probably bumped into your amigos at Las Lajas before now. We often share the TITSA bus up to there with the local boys on a weekend. I'll have to ask around next time to see if I can put names to faces!

Is there anyone over here who keeps a 4 wheeler on the island? They appear to be very expensive items so I'm guessing that there are possibly not. I'd love to be able to see one in the flesh and get a feel for the types of trails that they can tackle so that I can see if there are any other routes which would be good to take on on 4 wheels.

I've seen your article on the visit to TF and do know some of the trails already, but don't use them very often for the guided tours as they are not the easiest logistically for me with the minibus.

Cheers,

Daz.

Yeh Im sure you will have crossed trails at some point... I think they usually shuttle themselves up to the start of most places though? Matt and Manu are mates of Zeno too, so they are always in the BikePark with some of the posse!
Youre right... there aint a foucross bike if TF yet mate, but Zeno is trying to get the funding to buy at least one for the Park. If you wanna know more about the trails we ride just have a word with him and try messaging Matt (1412) for advice, cos I always ride with him.
Luego, Felipe Thumbs Up

Fair enough, I'll have a chat with Zeno next time I catch him. See what info he has. I'm looking at getting a trailer made soon, so was thinking it would be a good idea to make something which could take standard and 4 wheelers. Not sure how feasible that is, but will certainly have a look at it.
