Lol... yeh she has confirmed with me thats shes coming to the Launch, but youd better remind for me mate! Bring some beers with ya and we can discuss arrangements for meeting up at some of the other trails we ride.

Yeh its a pretty mental DH trail eh? Maybe get some practise in on simpler routes before you try tackling something that gnarly and fast!
We are still hoping that it will become a 4 wheeled friendly venue at some point too... cos its the ideal location for us and the terrain means they could build us an awesome trail if we had the cash!

Hi I have a Thompson Elite seatpost with layback 30.9mm diameter by 410mm length, black.

Its a year old, looks like new.

Would like to swap for same post but inline (no layback), or quick dropping seatpost (eg Joplin) and pay difference.

Also consider just selling.

London area prefered!

hi names mark new to bike building

building myself a Hybrid road bike (mountain bike with road tyres to me lol)

im abit stuck tho

how do i go about measuring the frame for parts i need i have a calliper

im building up the front end at the moment im sure is 1 1/8 im gonna buy some forks with lock outs but what size headset and stem will i need

or what other measurements should make and what should i buy firts

That's sh*t about the funding, maybe once we're out of the old recession there might be scope to apply again. It would be great to get that place turned around into a full on bike park style facility for both 4 and 2 wheels.

Yeh I saw your Scratchmere post when I first found this forum, good stuff! It does look good there especially for a local venue, there's some decent vids kicking about of riders using it to the fullest!...http://www.pinkbike.com/video/69302/

I think I'll be needing quite a bit of practice to shred the trails like Adam there!

Yeh it would be great if Paula can come with her rig too! I dunno if Dave can make it and I know quite a lot of people are coming along to see the bikes, and maybe have a test ride the club bike..?
 
We will have to hook up with you next time we all go up to Ae Forest too if you fancy it? Its my favourite DH venue and well worth a visit... as is Laggan mate, which is my 2nd best place to rip it up!!! Both places have fast trails, with loadsa berms and jumps, etc Thumbs Up

Yeh we've been up to Scratchmere once... we went to check out plans to extend the site to include a more four wheeled friendly route, but I think funding was an issue so it never happened!
Bit of a shame cos the site has real potential for some good DH trails... but it always comes down to money in the end eh?
We'd love to ride the DH track thats already there, but its a bit too "hardcore" for four wheels!

Ah nice one, I had a feeling you might know Paula! I'll be hooking up with her tomorrow so will see if she's up for coming down on the 8th wither her bike.

I've heard a lot about AE forest, it's well on my hit list! Seems like Laggan Wolftrax is pretty good too, my dad lives up near there in Newtonmore. Laggan was where I first started school at around 4 yrs old! I really need to get up that end of the UK more often, now I've got the hunger for riding again it's only a short matter of time.

I'm sure Whinlatter will be good fun for the launch, have you had much interest in from people about having a blast on the fourcross steeds?
